Tyrrhenian Sea and lovely Marina di Pietrasanta

I have spent several days on the Tyrrhenian Sea in the resort town of Marina di Pietrasanta. This town   reminds me absolutely wonderful town in Latvia- Jurmala. They've  got a lot in common, wide line of sandy   beaches, shallow sea bottom, and it all surrounded by a forest. Everyone moves  there  by bicycles , it  is very relaxing and comforting place. Also ,we spotted a sand sculpting contest there.
In 4 km from it  there is a small town Pietrasanta . It's hard to find any tourist there, as  my new friend said , his name is Yuri, the sculptor from St.Petersburg , who has been living in Italy for 30 years, this place is a paradise for painters and sculptors from all the world.
It used to be the center for treatment of bronze and marble, even Michelangelo took the material for his sculptures here. Art atmosphere is  in the air , there are a lot of sculpting  of young masters on the streets.
Walking around, you can accidentally get on  the opening of an art exhibition, there you may find a creative atmosphere and a river of champagne. That day when I had been there  was placed the  statue of Zinedine Zidane head-butting Marco Materazzi by sculptor Adel Abdessemed .Do you like this new piece of art?

Villa d'Este

Villa d'Este is a magnificent place. I dreamed of visiting this place since I had seen several photos in a blog.
Villa is located in 20 km from Rome in the town Tivoli. The ticket price  is 11 euros.
Garden complex was built by Cardinal Ippolito (II) d'Este with help of artist Pirro Ligorio and architect-engineer Alberto Galvani in  Renaissance style.Villa is included among the UNESCO World Heritage Site . Here on the not quite big square is located a big amount of fountains, there is even musical fountain (with organ). Also there is an art exhibition and small museum of antique books.
By the way, nearby there is a small market where we had bought several bottles of olive oil from Villa Adriana( they've got a lot of different tastes with basilic, mandarin, limon, rozmarin, mushrooms etc.)-I advice you to buy
